I am not a very political person. And that is why I would implement a flat tax.

Here in the United States we had a period where everyone who felt at all menaced by high taxes and liberal policies, especially during the pandemic, moved house to a red state.

Very often that red state was the great state of Florida – a state I have vacationed in many times and a state I will visit again in the future.

A flat tax throughout the United States and fewer state differences would create a much easier country for young and old, not to mentioned investment and business in general.

The differences between states creates a less united states and brings about a certain adversarial quality that I have seen in our politics many times over.

I would much rather see a United States with fewer state differences and there could be a large part of the budget that could pay for a state to have its own character. Whether that be architecture or a certain business sector or simply farmland.

Here in Minnesota we have had a governor who is not from here preside over quite possibly the most-destructive time in our state history. He also had the audacity to run for Vice President of the United States after the Minnesotan people had their city destroyed and their state expenditure thrown upside-down.

There is more to this story but I will leave it at that.

As someone who works very hard, I found it extremely disappointing that the budget surplus went to pay for a General Mills breakfast for low-income children.

I could write a whole essay on how that is so wrong.

During the period of anarcho-tyranny, whereby the people who are law-abiding slink around in fear as the criminals reign unchecked, I had to watch over my elderly parents.

If you are a politician who brings about anarcho-tyranny, I say there should be a law to get you out of here! I saw it in Portland with the CHAZ zone and all sorts of other non-sense.

I was a senior software engineer building a feature called Lost Mode for an Apple MDM company and the product manager who formerly worked at Apple could not even find a spot to hide his device to activate Lost Mode, for fear that someone would break into his car in San Francisco.

I say dig a whole and throw the riffraff in the whole and sprinkle in food pellets and drugs.

During the period of upheaval we had law-makers turn on law enforcement, which begs the question how do you enforce the laws your make law-makers without law enforcement?

That in itself was a time of great destruction and by great I mean the opposite.

Or how do you have a country without a border? The short answer is you do not have a country. You have something that was formerly a country.

Raising taxes on the rich means the rich will pack up and go elsewhere. I have seen it firsthand with my uncle. Instead of taxing the rich they should ask the rich what they want and figure out how to serve them better so that the money not only stays here but grows.

Lastly, taxing inheritance should be illegal. That is taxing what someone worked all their life for and is passing on to their family who they care for most.

To tax an inheritance is to go far beyond what government ought to do.

I would turn the government into a Reddit or rather many sub-Reddits.

I have seen some rather disgusting stuff on Reddit and to move government to Reddit would allow folks a chance to have a discourse through writing that would be familiar and effective. AI could could be of service, too.

I would put together a commission to fight Internet scams.

If we were to implement a test to see if an immigrant should stay in the United States, it would be to see if a native English-speaker can understand them on the phone.
