I watched a video about the plane that is used put out fires in Canada.
It needs to land on a nearby lake, fill up with water and take off so that the water can be timed just right so as to land atop the wildfire.
I think it is a valiant effort indeed.
I thought about it more and I can imagine a drone flying over dry spots with some sort of readout so that we can spot smoke before it becomes something hard to contain.
This could be a remote job.
If the drone spots smoke, maybe it could have an air compressor and just blow it out with high-pressure air.
Not every drone has to drop a missile or do a birds-eye-view.
